📜 Terms & Conditions – Rise Up Racket Sports Pickleball Doubles League

Age group: 18+
By registering for and participating in the Rise Up Racket Sports Pickleball Doubles League (“the League”), all participants agree to the following Terms & Conditions:
1. Eligibility
The League is open to adults aged 18 or over on the start date of the competition.
Players must enter as a pair. If you don’t have a partner, the organiser may be able to help match you with another player (subject to availability).
All players are expected to have a basic understanding of pickleball rules and a willingness to play in a friendly, social, and respectful environment.
2. League Format & Matches
Pairs will be placed into groups based on DUPR rating.
Each pair will play one match against every other pair in their group during the league period.
Before the league begins, pairs will be informed which fixtures are their home matches and which are their away matches.
It is the responsibility of both pairs to communicate and arrange their match at a mutually convenient time within the league period.
3. Match Venues & Playing Conditions
This is designed to be a relaxed and flexible league, and matches can be played at any location agreed upon by both pairs.
Matches must be played on a court marked to the correct pickleball dimensions, which may include permanent courts, temporary lines, throw-down markers, or chalk markings.
The playing surface should be safe and suitable for pickleball, and both pairs should agree on conditions before starting play.
4. Match Rules & Format
Matches should follow standard pickleball rules (best of three games to 11 points, win by 2) unless both pairs agree on an alternative format before the match begins.
All matches must be played in a fair, respectful, and sportsmanlike manner.
Any disputes should be resolved amicably between pairs. The organiser’s decision on any unresolved matters is final.
5. Reporting Results
Once a match is completed, one pair must email the result to 📧 hello@riseupracketsports.com within 48 hours of the match finishing.
Please include:
Both pairs’ names
Final score
Date and location of the match
Results not reported within the 48-hour window may not be counted towards the league standings.
6. Cancellations, Postponements & Withdrawals
If a pair is unable to play a scheduled match, they must contact both the organiser and their opponents as soon as possible to attempt a rearrangement.
Matches not completed by the published deadline may be marked as unplayed or recorded as a walkover at the organiser’s discretion.
If a pair withdraws from the league after it has started, their completed results may stand, but future matches may be voided or recorded as walkovers.
7. Player Conduct
Players must always show respect and good sportsmanship towards opponents, partners, and venues.
Aggressive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the league without refund.
All participants are expected to help foster a fun, social, and inclusive environment.
8. Health & Safety
Participation is at each player’s own risk. Players are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit and able to play.
The organiser accepts no liability for injuries, accidents, or property damage sustained during participation.
Players should inspect the playing surface and conditions before starting to ensure they are safe and appropriate.
9. Organiser Authority
The organiser reserves the right to:
Adjust box groupings or league structure to ensure fair competition.
Amend deadlines or league duration if required.
Make final decisions on match results, disputes, or conduct issues.
10. Agreement
By registering for and participating in the Rise Up Racket Sports Pickleball Doubles League, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
